Biography

I was born in Quebec City, but soon moved away due to my parent’s careers. Although constantly moving was challenging as a kid, moving has a foundational impact on my charector, pushing me to adapt to my new environments. My parents, who got my brother and I into climbing at a very young age, always made sure that anywhere we moved to, climbing would be part of our lives. Eventually, climbing turned from a family activity to a competitive passion. Currently, I live in Montreal, and finishing my last year at Bishop’s University, studying International Relations. A future goal of mine is to continue to pursue high level climbing while doing my master’s degree.

In their words

How did you get into climbing?

My family passionate about the outdoors, and especially rock climbing, eventually ended up in Salt Lake City, Utah the where I joined the Momentum team. I was 8 when I began my competition climbing journey, and as a youngster I did not always find pleasure in climbing. It was at times emotionally challenging, but overtime I learned to love it. Particularly, I fell in love with lead climbing and as a younger competitor, I always dreamed of competing in World Cups. My dream was first realized in 2017 when I participated in the 2017 IFSC Youth World Championships in Innsbruck.

What do you enjoy doing outside of training?

My father's side being French has pushed me to learn about French culinary traditions. I was always interested in cooking and food, but this really amplified when I spent almost a year in France training with the French team and learned everything about making French pastries. Now, when I have the chance, I love to spend a few days on a baking project. Otherwise, I am studying or spending time outdoors mountain biking or skiing.

What drives you to compete and excel in climbing?

Having started climbing when I was young and fostered a lifelong relationship with the sport, what drives me is to always improve my relationship with climbing. There are always improvements one can make with their relationship with their sport, whether that is mental or physical. I constantly want to foster a relationship with climbing that pushes me to my best self and performances.
