Biography
I am from Salt Lake City, Utah and have duel citizenship with the United States and Canada. I started climbing at 8 years old with the Momentum Climbing Team. Initially, I competed on the US circuit, but transitioned to the Canadian circuit as a Youth B and won the 2022 Youth Boulder National Championships. Later that season I placed 3rd at the 2022 Senior Boulder National Championships, and in 2023 won the Senior Boulder National title. Since then, I’ve represented Canada on the international stage at World Cups, Youth World Championships, North American Cups, and the Pan American Championships. In addition to competition climbing, I’ve been spending more time outdoors, and this fall sent my first V13 called “After Hours”. Outside of climbing, I am currently a first year student at the University of Utah, studying Kinesiology.

In their words
How did you get into climbing?
Prior to my start in climbing, I was a competitive gymnast for a couple of years. However, I first discovered climbing after my mom hosted my birthday party at Momentum and immediately loved it. I also found my background in gymnastics translated well into climbing. I joined the summer base camp, and soon after the Momentum Competitive Climbing Team.
What do you enjoy doing outside of training?
Outside of climbing, I enjoy trying new sports and activities. I have recently been interested in beach volleyball and tennis. Mostly, I just enjoy being outside and getting active with my friends. I also enjoy baking and cooking, even though I'm not very good at it yet. I think trying new activities help me keep a balance with training and keeps staying active fun.
What drives you to compete and excel in climbing?
I am driven by my goals and constant desire to improve. I've always been just a naturally competitive person and consistently strive to better my results and performance. My favorite thing about competing is the feeling of accomplishment after a long cycle of hard training. But at the same time I am driven by my failures and how they push me to work harder.
