I was born in St John’s Newfoundland and Labrador and my family moved to Colorado when I was very young, it wasn’t long after that that I started climbing. Since then I have competed all over the world from small local competitions to Olympic Qualifyers, I got my start representing small gyms like the VAC and Eagle Climbing and fitness to now representing my whole country. Now my sights are set on the Olympics and with LA 2028 just around the corner I’m putting everything I have into making it happen. I’m just hungry to get out there and do it.
I have been getting in trouble for climbing things for as long as I can remember. But I didn't find competition climbing until I was in grade 4 when I was sent to the principal's office for climbing onto the roof of the school, and rather than getting in trouble my new teacher Adam Markert who just so happened to be an ex World Cup boulderer offered me a spot on his climbing team.
When I'm not climbing I really just try to enjoy life as much as I can with whatever I'm doing, whether that be getting outside to do some disc golf or paddle boarding, or cozying up inside to do some cooking, or play video games. As long as I am happy I know that Im doing it right.
Ever since I started competing in climbing, before climbing was even introduced as an Olympic sport, I've always aspired to be the best that I can be and becoming an Olympian is definitely part of that aspiration. Now that it's achievable it feels like I have a fire in my heart driving me to go all the way.
